Permanent Lipliner, Lipblending and Lipshading

Does your lipstick bleed?

Have your lips lost their definition and natural coloring around the lip border?

Imagine having lip color morning through night, 24 hours a day, throughout the year. Permanent lip color can give you the optical illusion of fuller looking lips without the painful and temporary injection of collagen.

Permanent lip color can be applied using several different methodologies. Depending on your personal preference, lip color can be applied only as a lip line to reshape and contour lips for a more defined sensual look. Many clients are deciding to have the lip line slightly blended into the lips for a softer less defined appearance. Another option is to have the entire lip filled with color for a more lipstick effect. You can chose colors that match your natural lip color or more vibrant lipstick tones. Selecting a color is a process that takes into account your natural lip color, your skin color, your lip shape and the desired base color.

Unlike 10 to 15 years ago, lip color is applied with topical anesthetics. A lip procedure takes approximately 1 to 2 hours. Immediately after the procedure the color will appear darker and brighter than expected, but usually fades up to 20 to 35 percent within 4 to 6 weeks. At this time a touchup is performed to put on the finishing touches. Your lips may go through several color changes. Around the 10th day the treated area may look as if the color has completely vanished. About the 14th to 16th day the color appears to resurface. Your lips may feel chapped for several weeks so be sure to keep them well moisturized.
